In 2012, we were a vital part of the team that helped pass the federal RESTORE Act, delivering billions of dollars back to the regions most affected by the BP oil spill; we led the effort to pass the Florida Vaccine Access Act, allowing pharmacists to administer the shingles and pneumonia vaccines to seniors for the first time ever; and we also helped defeat numerous anti-consumer bills that would have threatened the housing recovery in Florida.
Kevin Cate was named one of Florida’s rising political stars by the News Service of Florida. Prior to starting Kevin Cate Communications in 2010, Cate served as a regional communications director for a winning presidential campaign and managed press for three Florida state agencies (Health, Financial Services, Juvenile Justice), two Florida congressional candidates, and two Florida statewide politicians. Cate is an Emmy®, Silver Anvil®, Telly® and Addy® award winner, and received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and a graduate degree from Florida State University, where he has served as an adjunct instructor teaching earned media.
